What do you want to do after high school?

At the moment, I am considering either entering a field of journalism or into statistical analysis concerning oceanography or meteorology.

Who or what helped you make that plan?

My teachers and parents are the ones who have pushed me to find new outlets and interests (leading to my fascination with these two differing studies). They are the ones who have encouraged me to look for new angles, to try new things and to embrace a variety of unknowns.

What advice would you give to a friend or classmate who is trying to decide what they want to do after they graduate?

Expand your horizons! Try new things! The world is a big place, and there is no one with your exact personality, unique set of abilities or interests. This is not mean to be cliched, but there are definitely things that only you can offer society. Even when times seem trying, difficult or unknown, use those seasons to grow in your perseverance and character with the encouragement of your peers, teachers, co-workers, supervisors and family members. If you never try something, you’ll never know if you could have succeeded.
