The Dept. of Veterans Affairs has two main GI Bill programs offering up to 100% educational assistance to dependents of Veterans who have died or have been disabled in service. These benefits include housing, tuition, books and other training programs. Apply here for educational aid as a dependent.
The Pacific Northwest Gold Star Scholarship is a local scholarship to a student who lost a parent that served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Global War on Terrorism (2001-present).
Eligibility for $2,500 award:
- Student lived in Clark, Skamania or Cowlitz or deceased parent lived in one of those counties
